  • Three Women Healing

    Documentary: Feature: Drama
    TRT: 111 mins

This is more than a story about physical, mental, emotional and financial abuse. This story follows how three women discovered that they were in intimate relations with the same man (spanning 2015 to 2019) and their individual and collective healing.

The impetus for speaking up extends past their personal commitment to truth. Although their abuser, a prominent dancer, performed in music videos, TEDX Talks, publicity campaigns and commissioned projects for cultural institutions, they believe they have a responsibility to share their stories to protect other women, children and artists, from this convicted abuser who has a track record of coercive control and financial scams.

Sharing their side of the narrative, red flags & similarities of how the narcissistic abuse unfolded gave them perspective on their individual trauma, supported them to reclaim their personal agency and provided invaluable support.

By identifying the behavioral patterns typical to coercive control and psychological aggression in intimate relationships they were able to reflect on how these dynamics often lead to isolation, disconnection, PTSD and in one of the women’s cases, domestic violence.

Still, the global dance community validates him by offering public opportunities to perform creating social power and capital that protects and amplifies his public reputation. The purpose of revealing their truths is to educate and empower other women on how to break the cycle of violence and make a stand so he can no longer avoid personal accountability for his predatory behavior with women both in and out of the dance community.
